Pokemon Pokopia All Habitats Pokemon List

Habitats are how you attract wild Pokemon to your island in Pokemon Pokopia. Each habitat type appeals to a specific group of species, and building the right ones is the difference between an island with 20 Pokemon and one with 200. There are 28 habitat types in the game — 24 available on the main islands and 4 exclusive to Cloud Islands — each requiring different materials and attracting different Pokemon.

This guide lists every habitat type in the game, the materials you need to build each one, and every Pokemon that each habitat can attract. Whether you are trying to fill out your Pokedex or just want to know which habitat brings in Eevee, the complete tables below have the answer.

How Habitats Work in Pokopia

Before diving into the full list, here is a quick overview of how the habitat system functions.

When you place a habitat, it creates an area that wild Pokemon recognize as a potential home. The type of habitat determines which species can be attracted. A Forest Grove attracts forest-dwelling Pokemon. A Volcanic Vent attracts Fire-types. The match is specific — you cannot attract a Snorlax to a Coral Pool or a Magikarp to a Desert Oasis.

After placing a habitat, wild Pokemon gradually arrive over time. Using honey near the habitat speeds this up — different honey types work better for different species. Our honey guide covers which honey to use for each Pokemon type.

Once a Pokemon arrives and settles in, it counts as “residing” in your area. From there, you can befriend it by raising its Comfort Level, eventually recruiting it as a follower. The full comfort system is covered in our comfort level guide.

Key facts about habitats:

  • Each habitat is a one-time build (materials consumed, no upkeep)
  • Multiple habitats of the same type attract more individuals of the same species
  • Building diverse habitats contributes to Environment Level through the habitat diversity bonus
  • Habitats can be removed with Bulldoze (materials refunded) and rebuilt elsewhere
  • Some habitats require region-specific materials that are only found in certain areas

Habitat Building Strategy and Priority Order

With 28 habitat types available, knowing which to build first saves time and materials. Here is a recommended build order based on progression and Pokemon diversity.

Early game (Verdant Hollow):

  1. Forest Grove (18 species, cheap materials)
  2. Tall Grass Patch (10 common species)
  3. Flower Meadow (15 species including Eevee)
  4. Freshwater Pond (12 water species)

Mid-game (Galebrook, Amber Ridge): 5. Stone Cave (10 species, mining Pokemon) 6. Boulder Field (8 fighting species) 7. Riverside Den (8 water species) 8. Bamboo Thicket (8 species) 9. Desert Oasis (8 species) 10. Haunted Ruins (10 ghost species)

Late game (Frozen Peak, Crystal Shores): 11. Volcanic Vent (10 fire species including Heatran) 12. Frozen Hollow (9 ice species including Articuno) 13. Crystal Cavern (8 species including Diancie) 14. Power Station (10 electric species) 15. Dragon Roost (8 dragon species including Rayquaza) 16. Fairy Ring (8 fairy species) 17. Psychic Shrine (9 psychic species)

Cloud Island / Endgame: 18-21. All four Cloud Island exclusives

This order gives you maximum Pokemon diversity at each stage. For details on reaching each region and what to expect, our all regions exploration guide covers every area in depth.

Tips for Habitat Placement and Management

A few practical tips for getting the most out of your habitats:

  • Space habitats apart. Each habitat has an influence radius of about 15 tiles. Overlapping radiuses do not cause problems, but spacing them out gives Pokemon more room to roam and makes your island look better.
  • Group by type for comfort efficiency. Fire habitats near each other lets you temperature-control the area with fewer heating items. Water habitats near existing ponds save on Water Block materials.
  • Build diversity early. The Environment Level habitat diversity bonus rewards having different types. Five different habitats contribute more to your score than five copies of the same one. Our Environment Level guide explains the scoring formula.
  • Save rare materials. Volcanic Stone, Crystal Blocks, Ancient Bricks, and Rainbow Coral have long respawn timers. Do not use them on early habitats when you could save them for late-game builds. Our resources respawn guide covers exact timers and farming routes.
  • Upgrade from habitats to houses. Once a Pokemon settles into a habitat, consider building it a proper house for better comfort control. The habitat slot frees up to attract the next species.
  • Use the Habitat Dex. Press + to check which Pokemon each habitat type attracts before you build. No need to memorize — the game tells you everything if you check the Dex first.

FAQ

How many habitat types are in Pokemon Pokopia? There are 28 habitat types in Pokopia, including 4 Cloud Island exclusive habitats. Each one attracts a different set of Pokemon species.

How do I build a habitat in Pokopia? Open the Building Wheel, select the Habitat category, choose a habitat type, and place it. You need the required materials in your inventory. The habitat appears as a structure that attracts specific wild Pokemon.

Can I build the same habitat type multiple times? Yes. Building multiple of the same habitat does not attract more species, but it can attract additional individual Pokemon of the same species. For diversity, build different habitat types.

What are Cloud Island exclusive habitats? Four habitats — Sky Garden, Starlight Roost, Floating Reef, and Aurora Dome — can only be built on Cloud Islands. They attract rare Pokemon not available on the main islands.

How do I unlock new habitat types? Habitats unlock as you explore new regions, raise Environment Level, befriend certain Pokemon, and purchase blueprints from the PC shop. Late-game habitats require materials from specific regions.

Which habitat attracts the most Pokemon? The Forest Grove habitat attracts 18 different Pokemon species, making it the most diverse single habitat. The Flower Meadow is second with 15 species.

Do habitats need maintenance in Pokopia? No. Once built, habitats are permanent and do not decay or require upkeep. Pokemon may leave if their Comfort Level drops too low, but the structure itself stays.

Can I move a habitat after placing it? Not directly. You need to use Bulldoze to remove it (materials are refunded) and rebuild it in the new location. Alternatively, save it as a Blueprint first for easy reconstruction.
