Pokemon Pokopia Cloud Island Magic Numbers guide

Fact-checked August 25, 2026. A Pokopia Magic Number is a 9-digit input used to generate a new Cloud Island. Nintendo confirms the feature and says that keeping the number lets you recreate the island as it was originally generated. Nintendo does not publish a ranked seed list, explain what each digit controls, or promise that every community description will survive every game update.

Quick answer: try 712229344 if you want the best-documented flat-land candidate we found, 557558061 for a dramatic hot-water crater, or 861294998 for a balanced mix. These are community reports, not PokopiaCenter in-game certifications. Make a manual backup before deleting an island.

This list is deliberately short. Every description below points to the player report that supplied it. We removed dozens of unsupported codes that previously appeared on this page.

“Community-reported” means exactly that: a player entered the number and described what they saw. We have not reproduced these seeds on a Switch 2, so we do not label them “verified.” If your result differs, the useful evidence is a screenshot showing the Magic Number, software version, and generated map.

Which Magic Number Should You Pick?

Choose for the kind of work you want to avoid:

  • Large villages and less terraforming: start with 712229344.
  • A natural centerpiece: compare 557558061 and 007007007.
  • Biome variety: inspect 861294998 first.
  • Black mountain and hot-spring theme: try 711604465.

No seed is permanently “best.” Terrain that looks beautiful can be awkward for a dense town, while a plain map can be ideal for large builds. The safest approach is to define one criterion—flat area, central water, dramatic elevation, or biome distribution—then judge the generated island against it before investing hours.

One Code We Removed

We do not recommend 258662568. The original post described a central PC, fresh water, a tall tower-like mountain, and several hot springs. A later player reported that the same number produced a different island with the center at the edge. That conflict is visible in the same community thread.

That does not prove why the result changed. It may involve a game update, a transcription issue, or another condition the reports did not capture. It does prove that presenting the code as universally tested would be misleading.

How to Enter a Magic Number — Official Route

Nintendo’s current steps are:

  1. Use the PC at a Pokemon Center.
  2. Select Link Play.
  3. Select Play on a Cloud Island.
  4. Select Create a new Cloud Island.
  5. Choose Generate via magic number.
  6. Enter the full 9-digit number.
  7. Name the island, review its sharing settings, press +, and confirm.

The official guide says Link Play becomes available after roughly 30 minutes of play and after reaching Environment Level 2. Each player can have one Cloud Island at a time. If one already exists, it must be deleted before another is created.

How to Find Your Current Magic Number

At the Pokemon Center PC, go to Link Play → Check Settings → Cloud Island Settings. Nintendo lists both the island’s Address and its Magic Number on that screen.

Write down or screenshot all nine digits before deleting anything. A leading zero is part of the 9-digit entry, as in 007007007; do not shorten it.

Backup Before Trying Another Seed

Because only one Cloud Island can exist per player, seed testing is destructive unless you prepare:

  1. At the PC, open Link Play → Check Settings → Cloud Island Settings.
  2. Press R to open the Cloud Island Backup menu.
  3. Select Save and confirm replacing any existing backup.
  4. Record the current Magic Number and Address separately.
  5. Only then delete the current island and test another number.

Nintendo says backups are manual, only one can be stored, and only the island owner can make one. Restoration is limited to once per day. A Magic Number only recreates the original generation; the manual backup is what protects your building progress.

Virtual Mode is the read-only visit option. Nintendo says it requires Environment Level 3 and the Mysterious goggles from the PC Shop. Availability can change, so treat an Address as a live destination rather than a permanent seed.

What a Magic Number Is Confirmed to Do

Nintendo confirms two narrow facts: creation offers a random generation or a 9-digit Magic Number, and saving that number lets you recreate the island as it was originally generated after deletion. Community research additionally reports that the same number reproduces the biome arrangement and Pokemon Center placement, but that is not documented at the same official level.

We found no official documentation for claims that specific digits separately control elevation, biomes, caves, resources, weather, Pokemon, or spawn rates. We also found no official terrain preview or percentage-based “buildable area” rating. Those details should not be presented as game rules without reproducible evidence.

A Better Way to Share a Seed

If you discover a useful Magic Number, capture enough detail for another player to retest it:

  • all 9 digits;
  • game version shown on the title screen;
  • one full-map screenshot;
  • Pokemon Center position;
  • water, hot springs, major elevations, and biome distribution;
  • whether the Expansion Pass was active when the island was generated;
  • the date you tested it.

This turns a code into evidence. It also makes it possible to identify a genuine generation change after an update instead of repeating an old description forever.

FAQ

Can I keep several Cloud Islands to compare seeds? No. Nintendo says each player can have only one at a time. Use the manual backup workflow before replacing it.

Will a Magic Number bring me to another player’s build? No. Use that island’s Address to visit it. A Magic Number creates a new island from its initial generation.

Are the five codes guaranteed? No. They are sourced first-hand community reports, with their evidence status shown in the table. PokopiaCenter has not independently retested them in-game.
