Pokemon Pokopia has 10 Important Requests that drive the entire main story. These are the big milestones you need to clear to rebuild the world, restore all four Pokemon Centers, and eventually reach the end credits. Unlike the smaller side requests that pop up constantly, Important Requests are mandatory — skip them and you hit a wall.
Each of the four areas — Withered Wasteland, Bleak Beach, Rocky Ridges, and Sparkling Skylands — has its own multi-part story request and an Environment Level 5 request. Withered Wasteland gets two extra, including the final one that triggers the credits. If you have been wondering what order to tackle them, what each one actually requires, and how to clear the Team Initiation Challenge at the end, this walkthrough covers every single one.
New to the game? Our Pokemon Pokopia beginner guide covers starters, crafting, and farming basics you will need before diving into these missions.
How Important Requests Work
Important Requests show up in your Request Log under a gold star icon, separate from the regular blue requests. You can track one at a time, and the tracker shows up in the top-right corner of the screen.
There are a few things worth knowing before you start:
- They unlock in a loose order. The Withered Wasteland requests come first. After that, Bleak Beach and Rocky Ridges open up in parallel. Sparkling Skylands is last, and the Team Initiation Challenge only appears after all area requests are done.
- Environment Level gates them. Most requests require a certain Environment Level before they become available. Raising Environment Level means attracting more Pokemon, building habitats, planting trees, and cleaning up pollution.
- Rewards are significant. Each completed Important Request gives you a large chunk of Life Coins, unique crafting recipes, and sometimes new Pokemon that cannot be found any other way.
- You cannot fail them. There is no time limit and no penalty for taking your time. Work at your own pace.

Each story request is broken into three parts. You finish one part, a short cutscene plays, and the next part unlocks. The Environment Level 5 requests run alongside the story requests, so you can work on both at the same time.
Withered Wasteland — Requests 1, 2, and 3
The Withered Wasteland is your starting area, based on Fuchsia City from the original Kanto region. Everything here is overgrown, crumbling, and covered in a toxic haze. This is where you learn the basics of rebuilding.
Story Request (Part 1-3)
Part 1 — Clear the Blight. Your first task is removing the purple blight patches scattered across the wasteland. You need a Pokemon with the Cleanse specialty (Bulbasaur learns it naturally, or find a Koffing in the northern caves). Clear 15 blight patches to complete this part.
Part 2 — Restore the Water Supply. The old irrigation system running through the wasteland is broken. You need to craft 5 Pipe Segments and 2 Filter Units at your crafting bench, then install them at the marked locations. A Water-type Pokemon speeds up the installation — Squirtle or Poliwag both work.
Part 3 — Attract the Guardian. Each area has a guardian Pokemon that returns once the environment improves enough. For Withered Wasteland, it is Venusaur. You need Environment Level 4 and a fully planted garden with at least 10 different plant species. Once conditions are met, Venusaur appears at the old greenhouse.
Environment Level 5 Request
Reaching Environment Level 5 in the Withered Wasteland requires 25 unique Pokemon living in the area, 50 planted trees or bushes, and zero remaining blight patches. The quickest path is to build a variety of habitats — Grass, Poison, Bug, and Ground types thrive here. Place habitats near water sources and food plots to boost their appeal rating.
Rebuild the Pokemon Center
This is your first Pokemon Center rebuild, and it sets the pattern for the other three. You need:
- 8 Pokemon currently living in Withered Wasteland (any types)
- 1000 Life Coins to purchase the Rebuilding Kit from the PC shop
- Environment Level 3 in the area
Once you buy the kit, interact with the ruined Pokemon Center building. A construction sequence plays out over one in-game day, and the center opens the next morning. The rebuilt center gives you access to healing, the PC storage system for that area, and a new shop inventory.
Bleak Beach — Requests 4 and 5
Bleak Beach is inspired by Vermilion City — a coastal town with docks, a lighthouse, and sand stretching in every direction. The beach is littered with debris and the water is murky. You unlock this area after completing Part 1 of the Withered Wasteland story.
Story Request (Part 1-3)
Part 1 — Beach Cleanup. Collect 20 pieces of debris scattered along the shoreline. Some are buried in the sand and require a Pokemon with Dig (Diglett or Sandshrew). Others float in the shallow water and need Surf access.
Part 2 — Restore the Lighthouse. The lighthouse needs three components: a Lens Crystal (crafted from 5 Glass Shards + 1 Prism Stone), a Power Core (found in the underwater cave east of the docks), and Wiring (crafted from 10 Copper Ore). Install all three and the lighthouse turns on, revealing new areas of the beach.
Part 3 — Attract the Guardian. Bleak Beach’s guardian is Blastoise. You need Environment Level 4 and a constructed dock with at least 3 Water-type habitats nearby. Blastoise shows up at the restored lighthouse once conditions are met.
Environment Level 5 Request
Bleak Beach favors Water, Electric, and Flying Pokemon. Build floating platforms for Water habitats, place Lightning Rods near the shore for Electric types, and set up tall perches for Flying Pokemon. You need 25 unique Pokemon and a fully operational dock area. Planting Palm Trees and Sea Grass counts toward your vegetation total.

Rocky Ridges — Requests 6 and 7
Rocky Ridges is the mountain zone — steep cliffs, cave networks, and high-altitude plateaus. It opens at the same time as Bleak Beach, so you can tackle them in either order. Most players find Rocky Ridges slightly harder because the terrain makes building more difficult.
Story Request (Part 1-3)
Part 1 — Clear the Rockslides. Five major rockslides block paths throughout the ridges. You need a Pokemon with Rock Smash (Geodude, Machop, or Onix) to clear them. Each rockslide takes a few hits and drops useful ore.
Part 2 — Rebuild the Mine Cart System. The old mine cart tracks connect the upper and lower ridges. You need to craft 8 Track Segments (Iron Ore + Wood Planks) and 2 Cart Wheels (Iron Ore + Rubber). Once installed, the mine cart lets you fast-travel between elevations.
Part 3 — Attract the Guardian. Rocky Ridges’ guardian is Golem. Environment Level 4 is required, plus a constructed mine entrance with Rock and Ground habitats surrounding it. Golem appears at the peak of the highest ridge.
Environment Level 5 Request
Rock, Ground, Fire, and Steel Pokemon feel at home here. Build cave habitats inside the cliff walls for Rock and Ground types. Place Forge Stations for Fire and Steel Pokemon — they double as crafting stations for metal items. You need 25 unique Pokemon and all five rockslides cleared. Ore veins count as environmental improvements, so mine everything you see.

Sparkling Skylands — Requests 8 and 9
Sparkling Skylands is the final area, inspired by Celadon City. It is a series of floating islands connected by bridges and vines, covered in sparkling crystal formations. This area only unlocks after you complete the story requests for both Bleak Beach and Rocky Ridges.
Story Request (Part 1-3)
Part 1 — Repair the Sky Bridges. Six bridges between the floating islands are broken. Each needs 3 Crystal Planks (crafted from Crystal Shards found on the islands) and 1 Vine Rope (harvested from the large vines hanging off island edges). Fly or glide between islands to reach them — a Pokemon with the Fly specialty is practically required.
Part 2 — Activate the Crystal Network. The crystal formations across the islands used to power the area. You need to find and activate 4 Crystal Nodes hidden in different islands. Each node requires a specific type of energy — Fire, Water, Electric, or Grass. Bring a Pokemon of each type and interact with the matching node.
Part 3 — Attract the Guardian. The Skylands guardian is Dragonite. You need Environment Level 4, all six bridges repaired, the Crystal Network active, and at least 4 Flying-type habitats built on different islands. Dragonite lands on the central island during a cutscene that reveals the final chapter of the story.
Environment Level 5 Request
Flying, Dragon, Fairy, and Psychic Pokemon belong here. Crystal Habitats are unique to this area and attract rare Dragon and Fairy types. Build them near active Crystal Nodes for a bonus appeal rating. You need 25 unique Pokemon and all Crystal Nodes active. The floating islands have limited space, so plan your builds carefully — vertical stacking works well here.
Team Initiation Challenge — Request 10
This is it. The final Important Request in Pokemon Pokopia, and the only one that stands between you and the end credits. The Team Initiation Challenge unlocks in Withered Wasteland after all nine previous Important Requests are complete.
The challenge is made up of 9 fetch quests given to you by the four guardian Pokemon. Each guardian gives you a series of tasks designed to prove you have truly mastered rebuilding the world.
The 9 Fetch Quests
Venusaur’s Trial — Harvest Festival. Deliver 50 of any harvested crops to Venusaur at the Withered Wasteland greenhouse. Stockpile early if you can.
Venusaur’s Trial — Herbal Remedy. Craft 3 Herbal Tonics (requires rare herbs found only at night in the wasteland caves). Bring them back to the greenhouse.
Blastoise’s Trial — Tidal Collection. Collect 10 Tidal Pearls from the deep-water areas of Bleak Beach. You need Surf access and a Pokemon with Dive.
Blastoise’s Trial — Lighthouse Signal. Craft a Signal Beacon and place it at the top of the restored lighthouse. The recipe unlocks when this quest starts.
Golem’s Trial — Ore Mastery. Deliver 30 of each ore type (Iron, Copper, Gold, Crystal) to Golem at the Rocky Ridges peak. That is 120 ore total — keep your mines stocked.
Golem’s Trial — Forge the Keystone. Use the Forge Station to craft a Keystone from 5 Rare Ore (random drops from any mining node). The Keystone recipe appears in your crafting list once the quest activates.
Dragonite’s Trial — Sky Garden. Plant 20 Crystal Flowers on the central Skylands island. Crystal Flower seeds drop from Crystal Habitats at random — build extras to speed this up.
Dragonite’s Trial — Dragon’s Offering. Bring Dragonite a Dragon Scale (rare drop from Dragon-type Pokemon habitats) and a Rainbow Feather (rare drop from Flying-type habitats in Skylands). This is the most RNG-dependent quest in the game.
The Final Gathering. Return to the Withered Wasteland Pokemon Center. All four guardians meet you there. A cutscene plays, the credits roll, and postgame content unlocks.
Tips for the Team Initiation Challenge
- Start stockpiling materials early. If you hoard ore, crops, and rare drops throughout the main game, most of these quests take minutes instead of hours.
- Build extra habitats in Skylands. Crystal Flowers and Dragon Scales are RNG drops, so more habitats means more chances.
- Craft Herbal Tonics at night. The rare herbs for Venusaur’s second trial only spawn between 8 PM and 4 AM in-game time.
- Keep 10 of every ore type in reserve. Golem’s trial asks for 120 ore total. Running out of Gold Ore is the most common bottleneck.
General Tips for Completing All Important Requests
Working through all 10 Important Requests takes roughly 25-35 hours depending on how much side content you do along the way. Here are some strategies to keep things moving:
Raise Environment Levels alongside the story. The story requests and Environment Level 5 requests run in parallel. Build habitats and plant vegetation as you explore each area so you are not grinding levels at the end.
Always carry a diverse team. Several requests need specific Pokemon types or specialties (Cleanse, Rock Smash, Surf, Fly, Dig). Keep a well-rounded party of 6 so you are not constantly running back to swap Pokemon. Our advanced tips and tricks guide has more on party optimization.
Rebuild Pokemon Centers as soon as possible. The healing and shop access alone save you massive amounts of backtracking. Each center costs 1000 Life Coins and 8 local Pokemon — prioritize these the moment you hit Environment Level 3 in any area.
Use fast travel. Once you rebuild a Pokemon Center, it becomes a fast-travel point. The mine cart system in Rocky Ridges also connects to the fast-travel network. Every shortcut you unlock saves time on fetch quests later.
Check the Request Log often. New requests sometimes appear without a notification, especially the Environment Level requests. Open your log after every major milestone to see if something new popped up.
Do not sell rare materials. Tidal Pearls, Rare Ore, Dragon Scales, and Rainbow Feathers are all needed for the Team Initiation Challenge. If you find them during normal play, stash them immediately.
