Pokopia Mystery Gift codes — active list and how to redeem free items

Mystery Gift codes are one of the easiest ways to grab free items, rare seeds, and exclusive cosmetics in Pokemon Pokopia. Nintendo and partner channels release codes regularly tied to real-world events, game updates, and seasonal promotions. Each code is one-time per save file, so redeeming them as they release is the only way to make sure you do not miss anything.

This is the active list of working Pokopia Mystery Gift codes for 2026, sorted by category, with expiration dates and what each one gives. The list is updated weekly. For seasonal context and the full event calendar, see our events calendar.

How to Redeem Mystery Gift Codes in Pokopia

The redemption process is the same for every code:

  1. Open the Pokopia main menu (press + on your Switch 2 controller)
  2. Select Mystery Gift from the menu options
  3. Choose Redeem Code from the sub-menu
  4. Enter the alphanumeric code — codes are case-insensitive and ignore dashes or spaces
  5. Confirm by pressing A
  6. Rewards appear in your inventory under the Gifts tab

If a code does not work, double-check the spelling — Mystery Gift codes never use the letter O (always 0) or the letter I (always 1) to avoid confusion. Also confirm the code has not expired and that you have not redeemed it on this save file already.

For codes that gift Pokemon, the Pokemon arrives via a special “Delivery Combee” that flies into your starter cabin. You have 24 in-game hours to claim before the Combee leaves (Pokemon goes back to the gift queue, not lost).

Active Permanent Codes (Never Expire)

These codes are evergreen — they have no expiration date and will work for any new save file at any time.

Expired Codes (For Reference)

If you started Pokopia after these dates, these codes will return a “Code expired” error. Listed here so you know what you missed:

  • LAUNCHDAYUS (Mar 19, 2026) — Launch day US starter
  • LAUNCHDAYJP (Mar 1, 2026) — Launch day Japan starter
  • PREORDER2026 (Mar 18, 2026) — Pre-order bonus
  • MARCHHARE26 (Mar 31, 2026) — March seasonal
  • APRILBLOOM26 (Apr 30, 2026) — April seasonal
  • POKEMONDAY26 (Mar 27, 2026) — Pokemon Day

Most of these had small rewards (decorations, basic seeds). The Founder’s Locket from LAUNCHDAYUS is the only one most players regret missing — but the LAUNCHANNIV code includes the Locket as a permanent backup.

Common Mystery Gift Mistakes

  1. Typing O instead of 0 — codes never use the letter O. Always type zero.
  2. Typing I instead of 1 — codes never use the letter I. Always type one.
  3. Trying expired codes — the error message is identical to “code already used”, which can be confusing. Check the expiration date.
  4. Not claiming the Delivery Combee in time — Pokemon-bearing codes deliver via Combee. Claim within 24 in-game hours.
  5. Storing too many gifts unclaimed — the Mystery Gift queue caps at 20. Older gifts expire if not claimed.

How to Track New Codes

Codes drop on these channels:

  • Pokemon official X (Twitter) — primary source for major codes
  • Pokemon.com Mystery Gift page — archived list of all official codes
  • Nintendo Switch 2 News tile — patch-tied codes appear here
  • Partner content creator channels — usually announced via livestream or video
  • PokopiaCenter weekly digest — we update this page every Monday with new codes

Bookmark this page and check weekly. Codes can be active for as little as 7 days, so checking monthly is too slow.

Mystery Gift and the Codes Achievement

Pokopia tracks several Mystery Gift achievements:

  • First Gift — redeem 1 code
  • Gift Collector — redeem 10 codes
  • Master Redeemer — redeem 50 codes
  • Pre-Launch Founder — redeem any of the launch codes (now expired except LAUNCHANNIV)
  • Seasonal Streak — redeem at least 1 code in each season for one full year

The Master Redeemer achievement is the long-tail challenge for completionists. With permanent + seasonal + update + event codes combined, hitting 50 codes in a calendar year is achievable but takes deliberate effort.
